Oracle acquires USP assets from eServGlobal

Sydney, May 26 2010

On May 26, Oracle agreed to acquire Universal Service Platform (USP) pre-paid software assets from eServGlobal. The transaction closed August 4, 2010.

The combination of Oracle with eServGlobal’s USP software delivers the first convergent prepaid and postpaid charging/billing application offered by a leading business software and hardware systems vendor.

This transaction enables eServGlobal to concentrate on the high-growth areas of Mobile Money and Value-Added Services. This focus, combined with eServGlobal’s 24 years of expertise with telecom operators, is expected to provide significant growth opportunities for the company. The funds from this transaction will be used to upgrade eServGlobal’s remaining suite of products to next-generation technology.

eServGlobal also plans to expand its Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery model and licensing models to ensure greater flexibility, agility and scalability.
